About VAVRA New York
Before there was a boutique, there was a vision — and a career spent at the intersection of beauty, fashion, and storytelling.
Dianne Vavra spent years as Vice President of Press and Celebrity Relations at Dior Beauty, immersed in a world where artistry and elegance were everything. But it was the thrill of the hunt — discovering a one-of-a-kind vintage piece with a history all its own — that ultimately called her home.
In early 2024, Dianne opened VAVRA New York on New York Avenue in Huntington, NY, and the boutique quickly became something locals describe as a little fantasyland. Step inside and you'll find an eclectic, ever-changing collection of vintage jewelry and accessories, each piece carefully curated for its character, craftsmanship, and story.
A Philosophy Rooted in Rarity
At VAVRA New York, curation is everything. Every piece is selected with intention — no mass production, no duplicates. Vintage jewelry is inherently sustainable, and we believe that wearing something with a past is one of the most personal style statements you can make. We also carry a thoughtfully chosen selection of indie beauty brands that share our commitment to quality and individuality.
Our connections run deep in the world of fashion and celebrity styling, and we've been featured in PEOPLE, WWD, The New York Post, and more. With over 69K followers on Instagram (@vavra.newyork), we've built a following of vintage lovers, style seekers, and treasure hunters from across the country.

Creative Director
New York native Dianne Vavra developed an appreciation for beauty and creativity at an early age, while roaming the halls of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, located just blocks away from her apartment. Her love of fashion began quite simply – by observing the stylish women she passed on the street. While spending two decades globe-trotting as head of press and celebrity relations for Dior Beauty, Vavra managed to curate a collection of her own. Her eye for vintage and unique designer pieces made her a favorite of legendary street style photographer Bill Cunningham, who regularly featured her coveted looks in his column for The New York Times.
